La BIENNALE DI VENEZIA 2009 - Nathalie Djurberg

Nathalie Djurberg catched my eye for the first time 3 years ago at the Berlin Biennale, where she showed her video works Florentin and Tiger Licking Girl's Butt. In Venice she presented her rather creepy videos in a room filling installation with plasticine flowers and animals, creating a fascinating, weird and beautiful jungle. It was one of my favorite art works at the Biennale, sadly it was rather difficult to watch the video completely because I was constantly distracted by people taking pictures of each other in front of the funny frog placed under one plasticine flower.
